Hello Modelica/FMU sim people: I'm looking for a good FMU use case for alpha development and testing of SimpleValidations FMU support. (What's an FMU? Funny you should ask...)
SimpleValidations will soon let you automate user access to a FMU model that serves to validate user data...think validating manufacturer reported data for some authorized database you publish. Your users use the SimpleValidations API or web form to upload their data, run it through your configured validation workflow including your FMU, and then get either detailed error messages telling them what's wrong, or a success mark...letting you get out of the busywork.
If this is something you do now manually — especially if this is something that's painful for you to do manually — get in touch! I think you'll find SimpleValidations interesting...
(If you use simulation engines other than FMUs...e.g. EnergyPlus...still get in touch, I'm working on supporting a bunch of different "Validator" engines including one for E+.)
